Nicholas B. Bruggeman, MD
One of Neb Ortho's hand and upper extremity specialists, Dr. Nicholas B. Bruggeman provides care for all types of orthopedic injuries. He specializes in hand, shoulder and elbow conditions, and workers' compensation cases. He received his medical degree with high distinction at The University of Nebraska Medical Center. He spent five years at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester MN, where he completed his orthopaedic surgery residency. Prior to returning home to Nebraska, he spent a year in Indianapolis completing a hand and upper extremity fellowship.
Dr. Bruggeman is a board certified orthopedic surgeon. He is an active member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery, serving on the Instructional Course Lecture Series committee. He is also and active member of the Nebraska Orthopaedic Hospital staff sitting on multiple committees. Dr. Bruggeman, a former athlete, has served as team physician for several athletic teams including The Rochester Mustangs USHL Hockey Team and local football teams. He has contributed to the Orthopedic literature authoring several published articles and book chapters.
